Had an amazing time at the first Appetizer with a Firefighter event at Bubba 33! I learned so much about the incredible work our local firefighters do for El Paso. They don’t just respond to fires and medical emergencies; they also tackle hazardous materials and conduct specialized rescues in water, mountains, and more!
It was eye-opening to discover that they provide mutual aid to Fort Bliss and the County of El Paso, and are involved in outreach programs like Safe Place, helping young people in need.
Their dedication goes beyond emergencies—they offer CPR training, check all the fire hydrants around town (for some reason not the responsibility of El Paso Water), perform Baby Car Seat Inspections, and run a Free Smoke Alarm program that I’ve participated in myself!
