Romeo and Juliet Opera at St. Rogers Depot
El Paso Opera is bringing Gounod’s Romeo and Juliet to life in a unique, intimate setting! This beloved opera, based on William Shakespeare’s iconic tale of star-crossed lovers, will be performed in four shows next week at the St. Rogers Depot, a historic train station turned event space.
This intimate performance offers a pared-down, immersive two-hour experience, where the singers and chamber orchestra will perform right next to the audience, making for a truly close-knit and engaging atmosphere.

The production is conducted by Maria Sensi Sellner, featuring Benjamin Werley and Helen Huang in the title roles. The choice of the venue adds a romantic and historic charm to this already timeless story.
