Salvation Army Thanksgiving Meal Distribution 🦃
The Salvation Army is offering free Thanksgiving meals to families in need through a drive-thru event and a community lunch on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28.
Event Details:
- Location: Salvation Army Red Shield Family Center, 4300 E. Paisano Drive
- Drive-Thru Meal Distribution:
- Time: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Meals Available: About 1,000 meals with traditional fixings (smoked turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, bread roll, pie, and soda).
- Ticket Requirement: Pick up a ticket at the front desk of the Salvation Army from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. before Thanksgiving.
- Community Lunch:
- Time: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Location: Inside the Red Shield Family Center.
Additional Information:
- Last year, the Salvation Army provided over 1,000 meals through its various distribution channels, including the shelter, soup kitchen, and County Migrant Center.
- Volunteers from Union Draft House, Five Points Lions Club, Oro Temple No. 9 Shriners, and Girl Scouts Troop 61229 will assist with meal preparation and serving.
