Texas is in danger!
A new bill, Senate Bill 336, could hurt our right to speak freely. This bill wants to change a law that protects people from being bullied by lawsuits.

Here’s why it matters:

1. What are SLAPPs?
These are lawsuits used by powerful people to scare others. They make people spend a lot of money and time just to stop them from talking.

2. What could happen?
If this bill passes, everyday Texans—like survivors of abuse, journalists, and small business owners—could face bullying through lawsuits. This bill removes important protections and makes it harder for people to fight back.

3. What can you do?
Many groups, like the ACLU, are against this bill. It’s important for everyone in El Paso to share their opinions and stand up for free speech!
